Questions

How do you convert hex to CMYK?
Convert the hex code to RGB and divide each channel by 255. Black (K) is 1 minus the largest channel. Each of C, M and Y is (1 − channel − K) ÷ (1 − K). For #9CAF88 that gives about 11% cyan, 0% magenta, 22% yellow and 31% black.
Will the printed color match my screen?
Not exactly. Screens mix light (RGB) and printers mix ink (CMYK), and this simple formula ignores paper and ink profiles. For brand-critical work, ask your printer for a proof or use a Pantone match.
